Mea culpa, mea culpa...
Sigh... yet again, another week (or two) of neglecting my loving audience. Sorry folks. Its been quite the rollercoaster the past couple of weeks. Where to begin? How about I just do bullet points:
I guess that sums it all up in a nutshell. So pls forgive my blog negligence as I've been rather preoccupied :-(
I need to also evaluate the direction that I am taking this blog. Don't worry, I don't plan on shutting anything down!
- I've been lobbying and selling myself for a cool job that I REALLY want (details to follow later). Its been quite emotionally exhausting as I've really put myself out there, but it has greatly paid off (thanks RS).
- Just ended a 2-year project and am now looking forward to the prospect of 2 more years of "more of the same" (at least I work at home...). That's why I want the above...
- Went to Phoenix AZ for my sister's wedding for Memorial Day weekend
- Met the fiance for the first time, two days before the wedding. He's 48, has 3 kids ranging in age from 4 to 24 years old. I'm speculating that they all have different mommies.
- My sister announces at rehersal dinner that she's PREGNANT
- The wedding is a QUAKER ceremony, which was "interesting" and "different". Turned out to be nice. Very touchy-feely (prolly shoulda worn a pair of Birks), but nice.
- The wedding is outside in a desert botanical garden under the mid-afternoon blazing sun
- I forgot my black shoes at home, so I had to run around suburban PHX in search of the perfect black shoes (so many emotional issues surrounding that issue to begin with...)
- On top of it all, everyone in my family had some kind of emotional feelings surrounding this marriage, so it was a pretty charged weekend.
I guess that sums it all up in a nutshell. So pls forgive my blog negligence as I've been rather preoccupied :-(
I need to also evaluate the direction that I am taking this blog. Don't worry, I don't plan on shutting anything down!
